Practice Night Sloppy Joe's

As Parents and Coaches, we have busy schedules. This is a good big batch recipe that you can eat for days.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 lbs of lean ground sirloin or ground turkey
1 package of your favorite hot dogs, sliced 1/2 inch thick.
1 onion chopped
1 tablespoon of McCormick's Montreal seasoning
3 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar substitute
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
toasted Pita Bread (hamburger buns for the kids)

In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until fragrant. Brown the ground sirloin/turkey. Add the hot dogs and cook for 4 minutes. Add onions until soft (approx 5 minutes). In a bowl, mix the spices, brown sugar, worcestershire and tomato sauce. Pour over the slop and let simmer a few minutes.

Serve on the toasted Pita or buns.
